- As many of you know, the Super Bowl is fast approaching and with the surge of visitors means an increase in sex trafficking in OUR city.Carolyn McMully posted a great article on her blog and more information about this weekend can be found at Traffick 911(a local organization).During this weekend, the Dallas House of Prayer is going to be holding a 48 hr prayer strike. During these 48 hrs, continual worship (from various churches) and prayer will be lifted up for our city and those involved in sex trafficking.I will be spending time down there this weekend and would love for others to join. If you are interested, reply what time works best for you and I’ll meet you there!
Ok, so this last weekend Leslie and I were at a cook-out and then all of a sudden 2 of the guys started impersonating our videos. So of course we grabbed a computer and made them do it for us. Unfortunately, you can't understand a word they say because the rest of us were sitting around laughing so hard. But let's be honest, you can never understand L and I neither. You'll notice their homage to the Mullet Video and of course there are plenty of "How am I single, America?!" and "PTL's".
I know you might be sitting on the other side of your computer wondering, if you are really seeing a vlog. And guess what? You are! Miracles really do happen!
Leslie posted these announcement on her vlog this morning and I LOVE them!
And I love HIM...he is so fantastic! Maybe he and his wife need another friend?!
Watch them...and enjoy (it's the first 30-40 secs of each video)!!!
Wait No More®:Finding Families for Texas' Waiting Kids
Right now, more than 3,500 legal orphans in the Texas foster care system are waiting for adoptive families. Texas has more than 25,000 churches, and God has given clear commands for Christians to take care of His orphan children.
So if the command is clear and the need is apparent,
why are these kids still waiting?
Join Focus on the Family, the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services as well as church and adoption leaders from around Texas on November 13, 2010 at Watermark Community Church in Dallas, 7540 LBJ Freeway. You'll hear more about the kids who are waiting, the process of adoption from foster care and ways to support adoptive families. In addition, agency and county representatives will be on site to answer questions and help you get started.
So come explore what the Lord may be asking you to do. Together we can ensure that no child in Texas is waiting for someone to call mom or dad.
